Delete your account

You can delete your Hangman Challenge account and personal data yourself. It takes a minute and cannot be undone.
In the app (fastest)
- Open Hangman Challenge and go to the Settings tab.
- Scroll to Your data and tap it to expand.
- Tap Delete my account… and confirm twice.
Deletion happens immediately. You are signed out and can start again as a new guest.
By email
If you no longer have the app, email support@hangmanchallenge.com from the address you signed in with (or tell us your nickname and the Apple / Google account you used). We will confirm and delete the account within 7 days.
What gets deleted
- Your sign-in identity and email address
- Your nickname, theme, skin and notification preferences
- Push notification tokens
- Streaks, rivalries, group memberships, blocks and favorites
- Word lists you own
- Skins you bought or earned, and the public name you use on the Daily Challenge
- The link between your account and any subscription (the subscription itself is managed by Apple or Google, see below)
What stays, anonymised
Scores and times on challenges you played stay on those scoreboards, labelled “deleted player”, so other players’ games are not broken. Words you set that others already played stay playable with no name attached. Reports you filed are kept without your identity for safety records. Server logs expire on their normal schedule.
Subscriptions
Deleting your account does not cancel a Pro or Premium subscription. Cancel it in your Apple subscriptions or Google Play subscriptions settings before or after deleting.
Guests
If you never created an account, your guest data lives under a random identifier on your device. The same Settings → Your data → Delete steps remove it, or simply uninstall the app.
